Latest update on Pike River Implementation Plan published

14^th November 2013. The Pike River Implementation Plan details how and when Government is responding to the recommendations of the Royal Commission on the Pike River Coal Mine Tragedy. The Government released the Pike River Implementation Plan on 12 December 2012. An update on the progress made in implementing the Royal Commission’s recommendations has just been published. An Expert Reference Group is providing expert subject matter advice and independent scrutiny as the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment develops a new and stronger regulatory framework for mining in New Zealand.
