Risk Management perth - USSA Global

Risk Management Perth

risk management perthRisk management Perth is one of the many core health and safety services provided by USSA Global.

USSA Global are experts at identifying, assessing, and prioritising risks in relation to Heath and Safety. We provide coordinated and economical applications of resources to minimise, and control the probability and impact of potential incidents in the workplace and to maximise the opportunities to improve Health and Safety for your business.

USSA Consultants may employ a number of risk assessment concepts and tools to ensure effective identification, analysis, control and evaluation of risk issues. Some of the tools include:

  • Qualitative Analysis – Qualitative risk analysis is a process which draws on the skills, knowledge and experience of key stakeholders to identify:
    • hazards and unwanted events;
    • the most plausible (worst case) consequence severity;
    • the likelihood/probability of that particular consequence severity occurring; and
    • current implemented risk control measures.
  • Quantitative Analysis – Quantitative risk analysis attempts to numerically determine the likelihood of unwanted events occurring and to assess the magnitude of the losses and impacts to people, the environment, organisation and the community as a whole.
  • Hazard Identification (HAZID) – A Hazard Identification Study is the process of identifying hazards in order to plan for, avoid, or mitigate their impacts and is the first stage of the risk assessment process.
  • Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP) – A Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP) is a qualitative, team-based technique for hazard identification. It was initially developed to analyse chemical process systems, but has since been extended for use in other ‘high risk’ systems and is particularly useful in analysing complex operations and activities.
  • Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) – A Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) is a bottom-up, analytical technique for determining how failures can occur within every component of a system (known as ‘failure modes’) and the effects these failures may have on the overall system.
  • Layer of Protection Risk Analysis – Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) is a relatively new methodology for hazard evaluation and risk assessment, which has been developed in the Process Safety field, as a powerful analytical tool for assessing the adequacy of ‘protection layers’ used to mitigate process risk.
  • Bow Tie Risk Method
  • Catastrophic Risk Management (CRM)
