January 2014 The latest Department of Mines and Petroleum’s Safety Alerts and Guidance section is now available to download and provides useful WA specific guidelines on Heat Stress and Acclimatisation schedules for workers in hot working conditions, mosquito-borne diseases, fire safety in underground mine operations, confined spaces in mining operations and fatigue, as well as specific advice regarding quick hitches and managing the risks of pneumatic transfer of dangerous goods, along with summaries of the latest safety alerts.
